GERALDINE STALLARD

Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director

Geraldine is one of those people who love words and art so much they decided to make it their career, even if it can sometimes be a real, heartwrenching struggle (read: writer's block and editor's anguish).

An editor and writer by profession, Geraldine took a break from full-time work to complete an MA in Publishing and Communications at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Besides writing for pleasure, she runs an editing and writing business to help make people's dreams come true (never underestimate the power of carefully crafted words!). Her book, Distinction in English—Text Editing, has just been published by Marshall Cavendish, and is out in stores now.

She loves creating art and laughter, and spending time with her husband and cat. On her off days, you can find her either curled up with a book, painting, or making music. A walking collection of contradictions, her interests range from the performing arts to competitive football.

Geraldine has an MA in Publishing and Communications, and as an undergrad was awarded a BA (Hons) in English Literature (Second Class Upper), with a minor in Creative Writing. In her undergraduate years she wrote, directed, produced and performed in several plays. One of her experimental pieces, I’ve Got Nowhere, Everywhere To Go was staged by NTU’s Epiphany, as part of LitFest 2011. Adapting Samuel Beckett’s Krapp’s Last Tape, she has directed the Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Sean Lai in the production of this piece for LitFest 2012. As a theatre practitioner, she has also acted as Judy, one of the main characters in National Memory Project, a multilingual piece part of Hatch Theatrics’ debut double bill production. As a writer of poetry, short stories and plays, she has also contributed as a poet at the Proletariat Poetry Factory’s events. Geraldine draws and paints under the pseudonym ‘Geri T’, selling prints of her original works, as well as drawing commissioned works and writing pieces for clients.

Geraldine now resides permanently in Melbourne with her husband and their beautiful rescued cat, Socks.

GABY CATENA

Editor

Gaby recently returned home to the grand US of A after a year abroad in Melbourne, Australia. She is now substitute teaching at a charter school and dreaming of her next travel plans. Apart from chasing down kids without hall passes, Gaby can be found hiking, baking, or hanging out with her weenie dog, Dante.
